Just so happy for Phil Collins and excited to hear about something Phil is passionate about. Cause you know Phil puts his heart and soul in everything he does. I can hardly wait to get my hands on the (Special Edition). Really looking forward to hearing about Phil's experiences and seeing his extensive private collection of artifacts and memorabilia. Phil's inspiration, passion and enthusiasm, is something he always brings to the table. It's the perfect ingredient, to which he approaches everything, that always brings about amazing results...
Texas history has never been a keen interest of mine (I'm far more interested in national politics of the period ranging 1930-45) but back in junior high I did do a fair bit of reading on the subject. I will certainly be looking for Phil's book as I think the premise is interesting...looking at a historical event from the perspective of a collector rather than an academic.
I'm looking forward to reading Phil's book on the Alamo to. It will be interesting to hear about Phil's experiences and his thoughts. Imagine being able to unearth artifacts, from a historical event in history, in 1836. That sounds exciting, as one never knows what they will find. Based on what I have seen and heard so far, it sounds like Phil has a really cool collection of artifacts.
