Phil Collins

On the Road 1981-2002

In the 1960s, the great soul singer James Brown was described as 'the hardest working man in show business'. His band: brass, backing singers and one of the greatest rhythm sections to strut this earth, were continuously on the road. And, on stage, their effortlessly electrifying performances excited audiences throughout the world.

But, if James Brown was the hardest working man in show business in the 1960s, it is hard to dispute that Phil Collins took over that mantle in the 70s, 80s and 90s. His recording schedule alone was arduous enough but his touring schedule has been nothing short of superhuman (and we're not including Genesis tours here!). Over the past 20 years he has performed on every continent, taking his hugely popular, rigourously rehearsed and technically flawless shows to almost every country where there were audiences who wanted to listen.
